From your first line of code to software you're proud to ship.
Launchpad walks you through two structured paths — Web Developer and Software Developer — with hands-on lessons that show real code, let you try it, and prove what you learned before moving on. Everything you do stays on your device: no accounts, no tracking, no server holding your progress.
Two paths — Web Developer and Software Developer, five specializations, projects and proof-driven mastery. A two-minute guided start finds your path and your first lesson; no sign-up, no install.
Learning paths
Two paths, one destination: thinking in code
Pick the direction that matches what you want to build. Both paths share the same foundation-first method — concepts in order, each one exercised before the next arrives — and the same respect for your data.
Launchpad Guide
Questions about Launchpad?
Ask the Guide about paths, lessons, privacy, what's live and what's planned — or watch it answer below. It's a product-information assistant for visitors, separate from the optional in-lesson AI Mentor.
Launchpad Guide
Example answers about the product — scripted, not live.
Scripted example. One of five curated answers, picked at random each visit — no request was made to any AI service.

Resets on reload — nothing is stored
This conversation lives only on this page. It resets when you reload, by design — nothing is stored anywhere.Ask anything about Launchpad — paths, lessons, privacy, what's live, what's planned.
Live answers are generated by AI (Groq) via Launchpad's server — your question is sent to Groq to produce the response. Nothing is stored.

Looking for help inside your lessons? That's theAI Mentor— optional, off by default, bring-your-own-key.
AI Mentor
A mentor that meets you in the lesson — not a chatbot bolted on
The AI Mentor turns stuck moments into learning moments — live today, strictly opt-in, under the strictest privacy model in the space: your key, your provider, your device.
Help that graduates, instead of spoiling
Ask for a nudge and get one. Only escalate to a directed hint — or a full walkthrough — when you choose to.
Context it can actually see
The Mentor sits inside the lesson: the code you're reading, the exercise you're on, the quiz you just missed.
Debugging, not just answers
Bring the bug; get the questions and checks a good engineer would run — until the fix clicks.
AI Mentor
Contextual help inside your lessons, when it ships.
Scripted preview. The AI Mentor ships in Phase 3 — nothing above contacted a provider, and Launchpad will never answer pretending an AI did.

Inside a lesson
Not videos. Not walls of text. Code, worked and proven.
Every Launchpad lesson follows the same honest loop — explain, show, let you try, then prove it. This is a real slice of JavaScript Foundations, Lesson 02: Functions & Control Flow.
function launchCountdown(seconds) {
if (seconds < 1) {
return "hold";
}
return `clear in ${seconds}s`;
}01Explain
Tight prose, never a wall of text — every concept tied to code you can read.
02Show
A worked example per lesson: real input, real output, line by line.
03Let you try
A guided exercise with hint levels — nudge first, full solution only when you ask.
04Prove it
A quiz gates completion. Pass it, and your progress is recorded — on this device.
Skills & prerequisites
You always know what builds on what
Lessons declare their prerequisites explicitly, and every lesson maps onto a competency in Launchpad's model — 64 competencies across 7 domains today. Here is the real JavaScript Foundations sequence:
JavaScript Foundations: Values, Variables & Types
JavaScript Foundations: Functions & Control Flow
JavaScript Foundations: Arrays & Objects
JavaScript Foundations: Iterating & Transforming
JavaScript Foundations: Scope & Closures
JavaScript Foundations: Error Handling & Debugging
JavaScript Foundations: Objects in Practice
JavaScript Foundations: JSON & Data Exchange
JavaScript Foundations: Capstone — The Word Analyzer
Chain shown with an example two-lesson head start so you can see the states — completed, current, and ahead. The full skill tree is live: every quiz pass, placement and review feeds the real competency map.
Projects & practice
You will build things — not just watch things
Capstone projects in every specialization are where Launchpad is headed. The exercise-first lesson design already makes you write real code from lesson one; projects turn that into software with your name on it.
Honest horizon: capstone projects ship with Phase 4, alongside the specializations below — the Software Developer path's real roadmap, already in the curriculum data.

Privacy & offline
The platform where your data never phones home
Launchpad has no accounts, no application database and no telemetry. Your profile, progress, notes and settings live in your browser's local storage — exportable as a file, deletable in one click, and downloadable as lessons for fully offline study.
your device
Everything Launchpad stores, lives here:
Launchpad servers
No app database. No analytics. Nothing to leak, because nothing is collected.
Cloud sync
Your backup is a file you choose to export — the only way data ever leaves the device.
And the AI features?
Strictly opt-in. If you enable the AI Mentor, your question travels from this browser directly to the provider you choose, with the API key stored only on this device. The homepage Guide is the one exception — its live answers go through Launchpad's server to Groq, and nothing about them is stored. Every other AI feature stays off until you turn it on.
Offline, for real
Download the live curriculum from Settings and lessons, search and your notes keep working with the network gone. Launchpad says offline means offline.
A backup you can hold
One click exports your entire learner history — profile, progress, notes, assessments and review schedules — as a plain JSON file. Restore it on any device, inspect it in any editor.
Deletion is real too
Reset from Settings and every trace of you is gone from this device — because that was the only place it ever lived.
Begin
Your first session is two minutes away
A short guided start — pick a direction or let Launchpad help you choose — then your dashboard knows your path and puts your next lesson in front of you. Skippable any time.
- step 01
Pick your direction
Web Developer or Software Developer — one honest page each, so the choice takes a minute, not a weekend.
- step 02
Learn by doing
Read a little, type a lot. Worked examples and guided exercises from the very first lesson, with graduated hints when you want them.
- step 03
Keep what you build
Progress, notes and evidence of your work stay on your device — exportable, offline-capable, and yours.
