Learning path

Web Developer

From first tag to first deployed app.

About this path

The Web Developer path teaches you to build for the browser from first principles: JavaScript for logic, HTML for structure, CSS for presentation, then components, servers and deployment. You write real code in the very first lesson and finish able to ship a complete web application.

Outcomes
What you'll be able to do when you finish.
  • Read and write modern JavaScript with confidence
  • Structure documents with semantic HTML and style them with modern CSS
  • Program the DOM to build interactive interfaces
  • Compose user interfaces from reusable components
  • Build and consume HTTP APIs backed by real data
  • Deploy a working application to the public web

Modules

The path is organized into modules; modules into lessons. Work through them in order — each lesson assumes the ones before it.

Competencies you'll build

Every lesson maps to named competencies. These are the ones live lessons cover today; planned modules add more as they ship.
