Component-Driven UIs

Building interfaces from reusable components and managing their state.

  1. Components: Thinking in PiecesBreak interfaces into reusable function components: props in, elements out, composing components, conditional rendering, lists with keys, and the shift from mutating the DOM to describing the UI.40 minintermediate
  2. State: When a Component RemembersProps flow down and cannot change; state is the memory a component owns. Learn useState, what a re-render really is, immutable updates, and lifting state up so siblings share one truth.45 minintermediate
  3. Effects, Lists & FormsEffects connect rendering to the world outside it - timers, subscriptions, page titles - with cleanup functions and dependency arrays. Then controlled forms and derived lists: the two jobs that look like effects but are not.45 minintermediate
  4. Capstone — A Component-Driven InterfaceAssemble the module into a working Study Tracker: requirements to components, components to state, static structure first, then wired interactions, derived stats and a design self-review.50 minintermediate
